A Starting Note

I write this first post while I stare out over a slightly rippled Lake Michigan. Fisherman break the morning calm as they rip towards open water and a golden orange crests the horizon. There's nothing more perfect than this moment, yet it happens every day.

As a Wisconsinite I’m lucky enough to experience little slivers of heaven like this frequently. An outdoorsman’s paradise, any one from Wisconsin knows that you’re just steps away from something miraculous at any given time. I’ve had some unforgettable experiences in the wilderness and I’ve enjoyed writing them down and sharing photos.

Quite frankly, I’m not sure where this will take me. I’ve been tinkering with this website for the better part of a year and finally just decided it was time to click go. This could end up focusing on writing, apparel, photography, a mix of all of the above or something yet unknown. Regardless, I’m starting this out of nothing but a love for the outdoors and shared experiences.

I will likely focus at least a section of it on Wisconsin companies and the great pieces of our state that influence the way we interact with the outdoors. There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a local person or company succeed in something they're passionate about. Hopefully along the way I’ll be able to provide you with information that will help you do the same.
